Abstract

A nonequilibrium Green’s-function T -matrix approach is presented for the consistent computation of semiconductor quantum-well optical spectra including strong Coulomb correlations in the coupled photon and carrier system. Numerical solutions of the Bethe-Salpeter-type equations yield good agreement with recent absorption and/or gain and emission experiments.
