Abstract

Five-page review of Zellweger's 2007 publication, Christoph Zellweger - Foreign Bodies, in the 1957 founded international design magazine FORM, Birkhauser Verlag Basel. Seventeen images of work illustrate a comprehensive text by Renate Menzi (Head of Design Collection at the Design Museum, Zurich). “Christoph Zellweger’s works defy normal categorisation. He chooses materials carefully according to their symbolic content so that he can work with them according to their properties. This attests to a trained technical understanding of handcraft, while his obsessive research, his themes and his sovereign dramatisations bespeak an artistic CI“. (Renate Menzi, page 66)
