MORGAN, Alastair (2012). Three trajectories in the encounter between philosophy and madness. Transgressive Culture, 2 (1). [Article]
Abstract
Abstract: This paper identifies three trajectories for thinking about madness that have been constructed within the tradition of continental philosophy. The paper argues that all three trajectories are concerned in differing ways with the idea of a pre-reflective experience, and how such a prereflective experience relates to madness. I conclude by drawing out the relevance of these three trajectories for thinking about madness even as this concept appears to be in decline.
