Still and moving image reside tentatively in darkness before emerging into the natural light. It is an examination of the psychological uncertainty of ambiguous situations. After searching and sifting in the darkness light brings life and energy to the sequence. The 5.1 soundtrack features manipulated field recordings designed to exploit the screen image and off screen space. Artist's statement: We wanted to capture and represent unique areas of interest in specifically targeted environments and explore differing ways of presenting the work in terms of sonic diffusion and/or visual/media elements.
