Abstract
A programme in Sheffield to prevent teenage suicide, particularly among boys. An action research cycle was used to teach problem solving in a comprehensive school, to help children cope with emotions, bullying and relationships. Before and after the programme, the children completed questionnaires which were analysed by the Locus of Control Scale for Children.
