Abstract
This project has investigated and explored alternative methods of wayfinding strategies within the built environment, with inclusivity at the forefront of the design the project focused on the blind and partially sighted. The initial aim was to device a tactic that would successfully guide users of a building through its interior more intuitively through indexing of building names, floors and rooms, with the addition of memorable cognitive nodes, as well as materials and textures. The project evolved resulting in an emergency evacuation navigational tile that can be implemented into any public building.
