Abstract
In 2014 the artist and writer Sharon Kivland took part in the first series of “Library Interventions” at Leeds College of Art. Her response to the Library's call for proposals extended a further invitation, calling for agents to work in her behalf. From the applicants she selected eighteen artists to act as her agents, researching in our library, reporting back, and documenting their findings. At the culmination of this collaborative project, Sharon Kivland and her agents presented the library with “Reports on Knowledge”. This fascinating collection of documents, books, a library game, map and a film is exhibited at the Chelsea College of Arts Library, in a show curated by Chelsea alumna Holly Stevenson with Sharon Kivland.
The agents: Abbie Canning, Alison J. Carr, Gin Dunscombe, Bryan Eccleshall, Helen Frank, Joanna Geldard, Christopher Gibson, Chris Green & Katheryn Owens, Lesley Guy, Jane Harris, Lou Hazelwood & Jo Ray, Katya Robin, Rachel Smith, Holly Stevenson, Isabella Streffen and Madeleine Walton.
