Abstract:We’re celebrating ‘the best of British’. Enter a space built around UK innovation and produce, with furnishings and decorative items loaned by British companies proud to represent the UK on the world stage. We’ve brought together experts, ministers, industry leaders and more to share their experiences, exchange ideas and open progressive discussion. Key themes include: Digital Health The Growth of African Cities Agri-Tech East & West African Oil & Gas Security Global Sport Space and Satellite Applications Commonwealth High Value Rail Opportunities The objective of these sessions – to demonstrate first-hand how the UK’s unique expertise in these areas can create vast opportunity for others. The sessions are invite only. The exhibition showcased Dr David Swann's award-winning ABC Syringe.

Additional Information:The British Business House (BBH) was held at Glasgow’s famous City Chambers from 23 to 25 July, coinciding with the first three days of the Commonwealth Games and following on from the success of the British Business Embassy held during London 2012. The invite-only event celebrated British creativity, innovation and the UK’s inward investment offer, attracting 400 global business leaders and almost 900 attendees across nine industry sectors. Prime Minister David Cameron addressed an audience of global leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, thought leaders and Government on the first day of the event to discuss UK capability and the global business outlook. Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation & Skills and Patrick McLoughlin, Secretary of State for Transport, were also among the Government Ministers that joined key speakers from across the world, brought together as a dynamic catalyst to nurture incremental UK trade and investment opportunities.
