Abstract

The design and practical results of a simple rain sensor designed to detect and measure different levels of precipitation are presented. The sensor satisfactorily yields analogue measurement of precipitation suitable for use in conjunction with automated control systems, for example automotive systems, automated windscreen wipers and headlight systems.
