These pages contain the official proceedings of the 4th biennial conference of the Design Research Society, held in Sheffield UK from 16th to 19th July, 2008. The title of the conference was Undisciplined! and it brought together over 150 delegates from across the world working in design. It provided an opportunity for researchers to tell us about new inquiries and interesting contributions to our knowledge and understanding.

The Design Research Society is the multi-disciplinary learned society for the design research community worldwide. DRS was founded in 1966, and since then has established a record of significant achievements in contributing to design knowledge.
