Abstract

Commissioned by Static Gallery Liverpool, and Peter Gorschlülater, Deputy Director of the Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt, for the exhibition and conference Terminal Convention, the work examines how a material form can be 'dematerialised' into 'immaterial' form.

The work involved moving 70 kilos of rock, on display in terrariums in the now decommissioned baggage reclaim area, in flights back from Cork to London.
