Abstract
This work was part of a project 'Live Notation -Extending Maters of performance' funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. Live notation was initiated through a collaboration -philosophically and through live unrehearsed performance- between live art and live coding. 'RockspaceStar' was site-specific to a cinema space and Reeve used her body, a large rock and the quadrophonic sound system to allow small mundane actions to create a sense of magical space surrounding the audience. At times the sounds produced deliberately mimicked those produced digitally via McLean's abstract live coding.
