Communities Under Pressure: Life in challenging communities

ROBINSON, Andrew (2011). Communities Under Pressure: Life in challenging communities. [Show/Exhibition]
Creators:ROBINSON, Andrew
Abstract:The 'Communities Under Pressure' exhibition presents a range of the my audio-visual research (short films and photographic imagery) from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation funded research project ‘Living Through Change’ revealing the key issues for residents living in challenging neighbourhoods across the UK in their own words and imagery along with my photography. The exhibition was associated with the launch of the publication of the final Joseph Rowntree Foundation project report written by social researchers from CRESR at SHU. The aim of the overall research project is to influence and inform policy makers in national and local government along with those working in related areas within NGOs. The work on exhibition also reveals and explores the range of audio-visual research methodologies employed and thus is of interest and importance to social sciences and those interested in visual and alternative research techniques.
