Abstract

X-ray powder diffraction patterns have been calculated, from published singlecrystal data, for phases encountered in the preparation of yttrium barium copper oxide ceramics. These patterns have been used to characterise samples from a small programme of work at NRL-Springfields on novel production techniques for superconductor materials.
