In this chapter I reflect over experiences of working with cultural heritage from the perspective of an interaction designer committed to a participative approach to the design of interactive systems and to engendering novel social interactions around them. This research in interactive exhibition design has been focused on supporting engagement, reflection and appreciation of an exhibit by enabling people’s active participation in contributing to the exhibition, both in the context of established art museums and of more informal heritage spaces.
