KIVLAND, Sharon and THURSTON, Nicholas (2012). 'Reading : some positions': a reading and panel discussion. In: Book LIVE, University of the South Bank, London, 8-9 June 2012. [Conference or Workshop Item]
An international interdisciplinary symposium on the ability of the book to keep up with digital culture & the emergence of new modes of writing, photographing, reading, archiving, disseminating on the page work.
Sharon Kivland and Nick Thurston (information as material) undertook a reading, which also was a lecture, in relation to Kivland's series on Freud’s Holidays and related books, all published by information as material, and two co-published by Cube Art Editions, Athens. These books always start as conference papers, as readings, before they become, so to speak, ‘reading’. Kivland and Thurston read and talked about scholarship, about reading. This was followed by participation in the final plenary.Their contribution is included in the book Book LIVE (RGAP 2012).
