Abstract: | This work represents Wright's exploration of the role of sound design in providing sub-textual pathways in films with experimental and ambiguous narratives. In these productions the sound design plays an integral role in realising the director's conception and aesthetic. Wright was sound designer and co-recordist for this feature film written and directed by Susannah Gent. It continues themes of sexual identity, memory and the blurring of reality and the unconscious explored in their earlier collaboration for Channel 4 "Bedhead" (1999). |
