Abstract
The proposed research examines the effectiveness of a single-blade carbon-fiber wind turbine. A finite element analysis (FEA) is performed to evaluate the enhanced stiffness and vibration characteristics of the orthotropic carbon fiber. Moreover, the airflow patterns around the turbine blade at various angles of attack are also explored through comprehensive computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. Although there are advantages, such as reduced weight, the carbon fiber single blade still faces challenges related to practical performance, manufacturing development, environmental impacts, and cost-effectiveness.
