Abstract
Having led and taught on field trips for nearly 30 years – to countries including the United Kingdom, Malta, Kenya, and Malawi – I recently led a field trip that included trans students for the first time (to my knowledge). This made me think about things in a new way – and provoked conversations with colleagues who had been away with trans students before, with equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) team in my University, with the students themselves, as well as seeking guidance from online sources.
