Abstract
Students taking maths and physics at A-Level study Mechanics in Years 12-13. Applied mechanics provides an essential background for many types of engineering. This session gives an insight into the ways mechanics is applied in different areas of engineering to motivate and encourage Sixth Form students who've chosen mathematics and physics to consider studying engineering at the university.
