Abstract

As part of Glasgow Film Festival, come along to this talk to learn all about how mythology is researched and then represented in cinema. Brought to you by Behind the Scenes in association with BFI Film Academy Labs, this free, in-person event at Glasgow Film Festival is for young people looking to explore careers in Scotland’s film industry. Inspired by Young Selector’s film pick Zalava, this talk will focus on the research stage of pre-production that is crucial whilst working on a film that will explore cultural and historical folklore or mythology. How to do so in a respectful and meaningful way will be explored.
