Abstract

EXITCork commissioned every one of Cork's cultural leaders to review the show of every graduating fine art student in the city, and published the reviews in the Cork Evening Standard. The text analyses this process and the way it remodelled power relationships between student, city and cultural leader. The work was part of Cork Caucus, a major interdisciplinary, international meeting of artists, thinkers, writers and philosophers to examine the relationship between art, politics and city, on the event of Cork being European Capital of Culture/
