Recovery for nervous shock: a Look at the law and some thoughts of reform

WATSON, Andrew (1993). Recovery for nervous shock: a Look at the law and some thoughts of reform. Litigation, 12 (5), 193-200. [Article]

Abstract
With close reference to the House of Lords decisions in Alcock and Others v. Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police 1991 and Mc Loughlin v. O'Brien 1982, the article describes the current law of nervous shock. The conclusion is drawn that there is a compelling argument for comprehensive legislative reform in this area.
