The popularity of wireless communication has increased substantially over the last decade, due to mobility support, flexibility and ease of deployment. Among next generation of mobile communication technologies, Ad Hoc networking plays an important role, since it can stand alone as private network, become a part of public network, either for general use or as part of disaster management scenarios. This book addresses multiple issues faced by a resource constraint Ad Hoc networks and provide various solutions to address Quality of Service (QoS) in terms of throughput and fairness. Adopted mechanisms to address hidden node issues, fairness and enhances the overall network performance and increases the durability of the mobile devices by adopting different battery saving methods.
