Abstract
Come and play with ancient scripts This exhibition showcases educational design work, which intends to playfully engage children and the young at heart with the ancient scripts of Linear A and B. Come to see our design proto-types in the same setting as the real Minoan artefacts. This research project was made up of an inter-disciplinary team of Designers and Archaeologists, all contributing their ideas, specific skills and knowledge to this not-for profit research. Collaboratively they have created a number of interactive approaches that aim to engage a broad audience with knowledge and meaning making in relation to the oldest un-deciphered and deciphered European scripts. You are invited to come and play with the proto-types of these designs, to help us test them and reflect on the role of design in bringing archaeological heritage to life.
