| Abstract: | This practice-led research project explored the issue of fashion and sustainability, and the creative approaches that can be employed to reduce the negative impacts associated with fashion clothing. The project highlighted a variety of sustainable strategies that in particular address the problem of textile waste created during the manufacture and use of fashion clothing. The exhibition opened at the UTS Gallery in Sydney from 28th July – 28th August 2009, and travelled to the Fremantle Arts Centre in Perth, Western Australia, in September 2010. |
