Abstract

A door or window security system in which a door latch mechanism is mounted within a door frame and the bolt is configured to shoot into the door or window. Movement of the bolt is provided by both electronic actuation from a door mounted handle, an externally mounted user interface, an internally mounted user interface and a door frame mounted handle. A mechanical override for movement of the bolt is provided via the frame mounted handle.
