Abstract
This chapter explores the contested meanings of 'anti-Zionism' and 'antisemitism' through an examination of the arguments and judgment in Fraser v University and College Union (2013). It demonstrates that these key terms and concepts are contested and that they cannot be isolated from fields of practice and conflict. The chapter also considers the extent to which 'racializing discourse' about Jews is present in the Tribunal's judgment and suggests that the decision involved anti-Semitic ways of thinking.
