Mapping glacial landscapes: a case study from the Himalaya

How can we best map changes in the glacial system? This article presents a case study from Ladakh to show how Google Earth can be used as a fieldwork technique, and how understanding the impacts of climate change on glaciers can help us assess local impacts on water security.
