Abstract
This chapter presents a case study detailing and explaining the failure of the Liberal Democrat Party under the leadership of Nick Clegg to deal effectively with David Ward, MP for Bradford East, when he compared Israel's treatment of the Palestinians with Nazi Germany's treatment of the Jews. It considers why the Liberal Democrat Party could not, and for political reasons would not, recognise that such a comparison - known as 'Holocaust inversion' - is antisemitic.
