Abstract

This article summarises the results of an investigation into potential alternatives to silane, part of ongoing research at City University into safer and more effective materials for the UK building and construction industries. There is expectation for smarter materials with duel or multiple functions, such as a silane alternative that doubles as a permanent anti-graffiti coating.
