Brief background: Behavioural change techniques, coupled with positive dietary and physical activity modifications are well accepted to be more effective in tackling the growing problem of overweight and obesity than any of these strategies used in isolation (Nothwehr and Yang, 2007; Costain and Croker, 2005).
