Abstract

Following an earlier article, " Juvenile Crime and Justice in Japan", published three years ago in "Justice of the Peace" , this article looks at continued widely felt anxiety about rising juvenile crime and discusses legislation reforming the Juvenile Law for the first time since it came into force in 1949 which may result in more juveniles being tried as adults.
