Abstract: | The exhibition "Body Alchemy" centers on the artistic concept of jewelry and metal art, new materials and the relation and dialogue between body and space. It discusses the evolution of contemporary jewelry and metal art from alchemy to casting body, from material aesthetics to conceptual art and from space shaping to body language. (subtracts from invite and event program). International contemporary jewelry artists and metal artists are invited to participate in the exhibition next to established and young Chinese jewelry artists. The exhibition provides a mature communication platform for contemporary jewelry art and attaches importance to the development of cutting-edge jewelry artists. The thematic exhibition, together with an academic seminar in an international context, covers academic area, art, commerce and public aesthetic guidance. (subtract from invite and event program) Renowned educators, artists and academics from 17 countries and territories are invited to the exhibition. The triennial is hosted by China Academy of Art. About 40 higher educational institutions and famous academies from Asia, Europe and Africa are involved and make this is a worldwide major academic event. Guests from home and abroad are invited to hold jewelry art seminar on the theme of Body Alchemy. (subtract from invite and event program). The conference "Body Alchemy" takes place in the Crafts Museum, China Academy of Art, Xiangshan Campus, Zhuantang. The conference proceedings will be published by China Academy of Art Press. They will become guiding books for jewelry and metal art practice, theoretical research and teaching in art schools at home and abroad. (subtract from invite and event program).
