Abstract

Power grid (PG) is a complex system, consisting of massive hardware components, and their continuous monitoring and control. What is more, real-time responsiveness further demands access within the installation vicinity as well as remote access. The integrity of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) in smart grids (SGs) should ensure that only legitimate and authorized actions are permitted to access the critical components, for example, master terminal unit (MTU), remote terminal unit (RTU), programmable logic controller (PLC), relay, transformer, switch, etc.
