Abstract
Curated by Esther Johnson, AXONOBUILD is a selection of contemporary film and video works depicting human interaction with constructed environments. The featured short films include: a tender portrait of the infamous Trellick Tower designed by Ernö Goldfinger; an intimate look at the lives of an expatriate Indian community in a building in Brickfield, Malaysia; an animated exploration of London’s industrial surburbia; and the journey of a dissatisfied young girl through various residences in her surburban neighbourhood.Artists include Bernd Behr, Pia Borg, Erik Bostedt, Pablo Casacuberta, Chris Chong, Esther Johnson, Mike Mills, Emily Richardson, Tal Rosner and Gabrielle Russell.
